Here’s the real story: While watching the film Hook on a Throwback Thursday night, I began wondering, “Why aren’t there any octopi in the movie? Then I was hit with an ARRRRRR! moment and decided to make a 7-daggered octopus (with one hook tentacle) and a skull and bones pirate hat. Working with Huebucket, we corrected draft after draft until we had the perfect combination of Japanese ink blot style & pirate menace. Although some have speculated that it’s a squid pirate t-shirt, I guarantee you that it’s 100% octopus. Printed on a vintage white tri-blend t-shirt, this design is bound to last you plenty of pirate raids and other tirades.
